Deal Quill ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Deal Quill mobile application (the "App").

By using Deal Quill, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

To use Deal Quill, you must create an account. Depending on how you sign up, we may collect:

• Email address
• Name (if provided via Sign in with Apple or email registration)
• A unique account identifier
• Authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with a unique, anonymized identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. You may also choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, in which case we receive a private relay email address instead of your real one.

1.2 Deal and Business Data

Deal Quill is designed to help you track car sales and commissions. As part of normal use, you may enter:

• Deal details (sale type, term, purchase price, dates)
• Gross profit figures (front gross, back gross)
• Commission rates and earnings
• Names or identifiers of F&I Managers and Sales Managers you work with
• Monthly sales goals and targets

This data is stored in the cloud (using secure third-party infrastructure providers) so that it can sync across your devices and be backed up if you reinstall the App. We do not require you to enter customer (buyer) personal information such as names, addresses, or financial account numbers, and we recommend you avoid entering such sensitive third-party data into the App.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Information

Deal Quill offers an optional Pro subscription, processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not collect or store your payment card details — these are handled directly by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We may receive limited, non-financial information from Apple to confirm your subscription status (e.g., active, expired, trial).

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate the App, such as:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Crash logs and basic diagnostic data (to fix bugs)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync your deal and commission data across your devices
• Calculate your commission, gross profit, and goal progress
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Process and verify Pro subscription status
• Respond to support requests
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your deal data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account and deal data are stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by reputable third-party backend providers (such as Firebase and/or Supabase). These providers maintain industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit.

If you are offline, deals you create are saved locally on your device and automatically synced to the cloud once an internet connection is available.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: with cloud infrastructure and authentication providers (e.g., Firebase, Supabase, Apple) solely to operate the App's core functionality.
• Legal requirements: if required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not share your deal data, commission figures, or account information with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and correction: You can view and edit most of your data directly within the App.
• Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
• Subscription management: You can manage or cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Deal Quill is intended for use by adult sales professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and deal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is necessary for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, through the App.
